Member management
One directory for the whole congregation: individual records grouped into households, so a family shows up as a family. Bulk-import your existing list from a CSV instead of typing it in one row at a time. Birthdays surface automatically.

Build the order of service ahead of time — hymns, readings, who's assigned to which part — and the congregation follows along live on their phones during the service itself, in sync with what's happening at the front.
Groups
Home groups, youth, choir, women's fellowship — whatever your church calls them. Each group gets an appointed leader with their own scoped workspace: their members, their events, nothing outside their group.
Messaging

Meet Theos.
Theos is the AI assistant inside mero.church. Ask it a question about scripture, practice, or church life, and it answers the way your own pastor would want it to — because it's built from what your church has actually decided, not from the average of everything on the internet.
Theos answers questions. It doesn't write sermons. It's an assistant your members and staff can ask about what your church believes — not a tool for drafting sermons, prayers, or teaching content. Preparing and preaching the message stays with your pastors, exactly as it always has.
Generic AI has no denomination.
Ask a general AI assistant whether your church baptises infants, and it will average together every tradition it was trained on — Baptist, Catholic, Pentecostal, Reformed — and hand your member a blended, unowned answer. That answer might contradict what your church teaches on a Sunday morning.
Theos doesn't do that. It's given your church's profile — a set of plain answers your pastors and elders write once — and instructed that the profile overrides anything in its general training. If the profile says infant baptism, Theos says infant baptism. If your church practices believer's baptism only, Theos says that instead.
Two churches, two correct answers.
A Reformed church and a Pentecostal church can ask Theos the exact same question about baptism and get two different answers — and both are correct, because both are what that church actually teaches. Theos isn't trying to find the "right" answer across Christianity. It's reporting your church's answer, accurately, every time.

Every church that sets up Theos fills in a profile: 33 questions across seven areas, in plain language, answered once by the people who already carry that responsibility. Theos never answers outside what's written here.
The same question, two traditions, two answers.
Here's what actually happens when a member from each church asks Theos about baptism.

Your church baptises the infant children of believing members, as a sign of God's covenant promise. Baptism is followed later by a public profession of faith at confirmation. This is set out in Article 6 of your church's statement of faith.

Your church practices believer's baptism only — baptism follows a personal profession of faith, at any age old enough to understand it. Infants are dedicated, not baptised. Speak with your pastor about when someone is ready.
When your church hasn't decided, Theos says so.
Not every church has an official position on every question, and Theos won't invent one. It says exactly where things stand, and hands the person to someone who can help.

Because you control who's on the list, there's no open sign-up form for a stranger to fill in. If someone's name and number aren't in your records, the app won't let them through — the same way a stranger can't just walk up and join the membership roll.
If a member's phone number changes, update it from the dashboard. That's the only step involved.

A few honest answers.
Do members need an email address?
No. Sign-in is by phone number only — there's no email step anywhere in the process.
What if a member isn't on the list yet?
Add them from the dashboard. Sign-in works the same day — there's nothing further for them to set up.
Will members get texted or emailed reminders?
Not yet — notifications currently arrive as push notifications inside the app, not by SMS or email. Everything lands in their inbox in the app either way.
